ON NOVEMBER  5TH

In 1605 Guy Fawkes led a plan to blow up the British parliament,

because he didn’t agree with the King.

The plan was discovered and Guy Fawkes was executed.

British people celebrate  by burning a “Guy” effigy” (= a dummy) on

a big bonfire. Thet watch the fireworks display and eat sausages and potatoes.
